Our Class Plant

Hi our names are Hayley and Olivia. In our class we have 3 pet cacti called Fluffy, Cuddles and Softy. They live in our class on a book shelf. They have a big pot to live in. We have had them since Term 1 2012. The first 1we had was Fluffy, then we cut off a part of it only the top though. The last 1 we got was at the start of Term 2 so we have only had him for a little while we will probably get another next term. It is really strange that Fluffy had Cuddles for a baby and he is a boy all of them are boys so we think Fluffy is like a father sea horse. We never really give it any water because it is a desert plant. It also has lots of water packed in its body. They need a lot of sun because they are from the desert and it is always sunny. You are not allowed to touch, but you can say hi to all of them.

The PVS Middle school Choir

On the 27th of April the PVS middle school Choir performed in front of the whole school in Assembly. We sung Colour My World because that was our favourite song out of all the song there were.We were told to go to school at 8:30am sharp so we could practice the song.We practiced the song many times to warm up our vocal cords. Finally the Assembly began and we were all nervous and excited ,and then it was our turn to sing our song. This was our time to face our fares and sing in front of public. Once we started we sounded a bit quiet and then we got louder when we were closer to the end. Once we finished  audience clapped for us while we got of the stage, and we smiled with pride and we lived happily ever after sorry I mean and we were proud of ourselves forever.

mix together the flour, sugar, coconuts and rolled oats. Melt the butter and golden syrup.
Dissolve  the baking soda in the boiling water and add it to the butter and golden syrup .
Stir the butter mixture into the dry ingredients . Place level teaspoons of mixture onto cold
greased trays . Press out with a fork bake at 180‘c for about fifteen minutes or until golden
makes 18.

HANDY HINT

Use the rest of the fleming rolled oats to make a delicious porridge for breakfast . Its quick and easy to make just 2-3
minutes in the microwave and you can add yummy toppings like
bananas and brown sugar, fresh fruit, yogurt, or your favourite nuts . Don't forget  breakfast is the most important meal of the day !!!!

The Amazing ANZAC Day

On the 24 of April Room 30 went to PVS’s cafe to make Anzac biscuits. We were learning why the NZ army went to the war and we made Anzac Biscuits because people sent these Biscuits to all the people in the war because they last a very long time.

We started making the biscuits in our groups.First we all had to get the ingredients and started to put them into the big bowl. Next we started to mix all the things together and spread some butter over the tray.
After we spread the butter on the tray and started to shape the mixture into circles of 6 or 12 huge Anzac cookies. When we all were finished we placed the cookies into the oven for 15 minutes. While we were waiting for the Anzac cookies to be made we all had to wash one dish each and dry them, then we went to class to do our hand writing and came back 5 minutes later to collect our Anzac cookies and go straight to lunch.

I think it was a great idea to make Anzac biscuits so we could remember all the people in the war.

Welcome!

Welcome to our new blog! If you're looking for our blog from the first part of the year you'll find it at Room 30's First Blog.

Room 30:
Now that we have a new blog, we're going to start with a competition. The title of our blog could look much more interesting. Your challenge is to decide what our title should look like, create it, take a screen shot of it and put it in a post on our blog. Later this term we'll decide which one we like the most and upload it as our new title.

Visitors:
It would be great to have some feedback on our designs, so we'd love some comments about them.

Happy creating!
