Wheels day

On thursday the 6th we had wheels day, I brought me bike with me there were three bad things about bringing my bike.

1. I had to walk my bike up the big hill on the way  

1. I had to ride on grass witch made my slower than usual but luckily I had a mountain bike that had six gears so I could go faster than I would normally go on grass with a normal bike

mum said my bike was too big for car witch I understood because her boot was miniature so I had to cross the hill road with my friend who lives on the same street as me so we talked until we got there then I said “bye james” and he pushed his bike up his massive driveway.

So then I walked the rest of the to my house witch wasn’t very long it was like 5 metres.  then I met my brother and sister at my driveway

Birkenhead leisure centre 

In term one we went to Birkenhead leisure centre.

 firstly my group built rafts and then tested them out. our group won the race to get to the other side of the 4 metre deep pool 

Then we went kayaking we played a game where we could not hit each other wise  would lose points

Lastly we played games like giants, wizards and dwarves.

Miss Lankow

Miss lankow is our awesome teacher. she has taught us a cool game called bash. It is a game like hockey except instead of hockey sticks they are newspaper sticks with a lot of celetape

Orca Mufti

Daily News: Orca Mufti Day For PVS!

On Friday 30 November 2012 PVS celebrates Orca Mufti Day 

There will be games and raffles and face painting and orca costumes and orca cookies and much more! There will be prizes for the best costume so if you are a student at Point view school play games with orca costume on and win a raffle!

The Awesome Shakeout

On Wednesday 26th of September everyone in PVS did this thing called a shakeout people were hoping that 1,000,000 people would do the shakeout all we had to do was DROP, COVER, HOLD and then we did a headcount and told Mrs Thorpe that we were all here.

THE HALL IS THE BIGGEST BUILDING IN YHE SCHOOL!!! IT IS WHERE  WE PLAY REALLY COOL SPORTS, LIKE HOCKEY, BUT NOT ICE HOCKEY BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE AN ICE SKATING RINK [I WISH WE DID THOUGH!] IT IS ALSO WHERE WE PRACTISE BALL SKILLS WITH MRS. KILLEN OUR SPORTS TEACHER. BYE!

Pegion Mountin BMX Track

Pigeon Mountin BMX Track

On sundays, me, my dad and one or two of my friends go to the Pigeon Mountain BMX Track.

 Believe it or not we don't fall off very much!

My favourite part of the BMX track is, the part is where the corners are, because they come right up onto a curve so you are almost on your side, so that means if your tyres don't have good traction (Traction is grip) your tyres will slip and you will crash, and some times you can't stand up.

 The other part  is the double bumps where there is only a tiny part of a gap, and some times one bump goes underneath and out sometimes it gives you a surprise. At the start of the track there is a big downhill slope and then a big bump so you don't fly off the corner straight after the bump. Otherwise it would be so painful. 

Now I am saving up for a silver and blue helmet and some new gloves and possibly a new Avanti BMX bike (Avanti is a brand of bikes).

I recommend that you come to the BMX track as long as yu are brave and you are 8+.

The New Season has started so I will be riding on fridays

Soccer Team

Soccer Team 

Mr. Rankin has made an awesome middle school Soccer team. We haven't had our trails yet but year 3s and year 4 girls are having their trails today and then next week on Wednsday the year 4 boys get to have their trails with Mr. Rankin.

Hi our names are Hadley,Tyler and Ben! Tyler and Hadley like Goody-Goody Gumdrops and Ben likes lemon and lime with hundreds and thousands with a waffle cone. Hadley likes Sausages Tyler likes wongtongs (indian food).  Tyler likes soccer Hadley likes Rugby Tyler and Ben like soccer. Hadley likes helium balloons and Tyler likes Ice skating.

Ben's Current Events

Today it was my turn to present my current events for oral language. My current events was about Humans thinking about people landing on mars

Our focus was to face the audience when we were speaking. I would give myself 6/10 for this.

Anzac Bickies

On Tuesday the 24 April 2012 room 30 made ANZAC biscuits. We made them in the school cafeteria. Some parents came in to help us bake them. The people that where in my group Peter Sharan Olivia  and Samuel & my grandma was the parent helper for my group. In another

group caleb  spilled the cocunut & me & Taine had to clean up for a while it felt like five hours...it felt tiering. The ANZAC   biscuits tasted very very good.

If you would like to make them we have the recipe 

this is what you need:

ingredients 

half a cup of champion standard grade flour.

half a cup of sugar.

three quarters of a cup of fleming's rolled oats.

75G butter 1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon golden syrup
2 teaspoons boiling water
1/2 teaspoon edmonds baking soda
mix together flour ,sugar, coconut and rolled oats.Melt and golden syrup

Jerome Kanio comes to pvs in westpack chopper

Today All Black Jerome Kanio came to point view school.All my friends said they wouldn't wash there hands ever again.  he plays as a blundside flanker so thats number 8 in front of Richie McCaw. This year he is going to japan. When the helicopter came down it took a couple of minutes.We had to sing cont on me by bruno mars.
