What I enjoyed In The Year

This year was awesome because we did lots of exciting stuff like the mini Olympics, when New Zealand  Olympians come to our school ,we also saw lots and lots of awesome as movies. 

This year I learnt lots of exciting activity and maths like short division we also learnt lots of important lessons. We also learnt how to bake Anzac biscuits.

Somethings where challenging like  some of the maths we did, short division was one of them. I also found some of our topic was slightly hard as well.

Eclipses

Today ,Wednesday the 14th of November both New Zealand and Australia had an Eclipse. An Eclipse is when either the sun blocks out the moon or the moon blocks out the sun that is called a solar Eclipse (sun)and lunar eclipses(moon).


When solar Eclipses happen it goes dark or though the clouds help.




Know matter what do not look at the sun. If you have to look at the sun then put the blinds down and look through them.

Mrs Sidhwa

This week all our principals have gone to a conference so Mrs Sidhwa got the job for the week. We congratulated her by giving her some poems that we made her later in that week. We made it in to a book that Malin and Adrian brought to her and about a day after she said "Thank you, you were the only class that gave me something at all''
We were so proud of ourselves.

COMPUTER ETC

Hi my name is Peter and I am from point view school.  Today I'm here to tell you about computers and stuff like that.  Point view school has laptops I pads and I pods to support our learning.  They are all apple.  We have lots of fun well we learn.

CAN YOU WAIT FOR FATHES DAY

Can you wait for fathers day, because I can't?  Have you made a card for fathers day or are you going to? I am about to make one. Never mind that though because it's tomorrow so look out. You should probably buy a present. 

Point View Goes WILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Point View Goes Olympic WILD!!!!!!!

On Tuesday the 14th of August 2012 the whole middle school had a mini olympics.  Everybody had to do 1 or 2 sports.  Peter did bumb shuffling, Peter and his team came 2nd and I did chopsticks and hulahoop ,in chopsticks I came 4th . In hulahoops I came 1st with 3 other people with me.  We made t-shirts with a maple leaf on the front with Canada through the middle of it .  The back of our t-shirts were just as beautiful as our front ,they had our last names and 30 at the bottom of our t-shirts.  After the time came ,we were all nervous at first but then we were confident.  We made a head band we got to choose what we had on them but we had to have black ,red or white on our head bands .   Some people put red glitter on their head bands.   We had a magnificent time .

Wacky Hair Day

Today it was wacky hair day.Wacky hair day is about having wacky hats and hair. If you have the wackiest hair you get a certificate and might win a prize. There were children wearing hats wigs and put hair spray,gel and bows in their hair.

Harold at Point View School

HAROLD AT POINT VIEW SCHOOL

On Wednesday the 25th of july 2012 Harold the giraffe came to Point View School (our school) and the life edgeacation trailer carried Harold the giraffe to our school.The first thing we did was get tickets from the lady and she intradused her self to us.Next thing we did was go into the trailer and learn about our body. We learnt that the heart isn't shaped like a love heart.Then Harold came out and said a few things.

Hi my name is Peter and my buddy readers name is Abhi. Abhi and I like Playing on the iPad we also like on the computer. We also like playing play station and x box 360. We like playing soccer we like running and playing on the playground.  


My favouit colour is red and Abhi's is yellow.

Anzac Bickies

On Tuesday the 24 April 2012 room 30 made ANZAC biscuits. We made them in the school cafeteria. Some parents came in to help us bake them. The people that where in my group Peter Sharan Olivia  and Samuel & my grandma was the parent helper for my group. In another

group caleb  spilled the cocunut & me & Taine had to clean up for a while it felt like five hours...it felt tiering. The ANZAC   biscuits tasted very very good.

If you would like to make them we have the recipe 

this is what you need:

ingredients 

half a cup of champion standard grade flour.

half a cup of sugar.

three quarters of a cup of fleming's rolled oats.

75G butter 1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon golden syrup
2 teaspoons boiling water
1/2 teaspoon edmonds baking soda
mix together flour ,sugar, coconut and rolled oats.Melt and golden syrup

A All Black came to our school

Whoosh on 23.5.12 the whole school a helicopter coming out of the sky.It boomed we were almost falling down to the ground because of the wind coming from the helicopter.A pilot came out of the helicopter and opened a door at the back of the helicopter.Then after 3 minutes !JEROME KAINO! came out.People filmed all of it and it's gonna be on the news.Everybody was so happy.He plays as  a

blind side flanker.
